Lethbridge Panel Upgrades Focused on Safety
Every home today has an electrical panel. The safety of the home panel depends on a few factors, including the age of the panel, how it was originally installed and how many other people have worked inside of it. Most panels were installed way before you owned your home. Over a number of years of servicing older homes in Lethbridge, we have found many problems with poor worksmanshipwhich can lead to costly repairs and sometimes having to replace the electrical service to your home.
Does your electrical panel look like these? Are they safe?

In the first picture we have wires on the bottom left, obviously way-too short which could cause problems later on and wires are all over the place. The second picture shows another panel that is relatively new but very sloppy in appearance. The third picture is of the second panel but if you look real close you will see a wire at the top that crosses from one side to the other, this in fact could create a huge hazard as it could short out the panel because its crossing right over the main bus lugs of the panel.
This is how your panel should look.

At Gersty's Electric it is our policy to make sure the electrical panel is wired with care given to neatness and safety as it is one of the most important parts of the electrical system. It is in our opinion that there is no excuse for a sloppy job at the panel and it should be wired neatly like everything else.
